Cliffs (NEW)
#1
EDIT: Sorry but right after I've posted the first version of "Cliffs" I worked some more on this poem...here's the second version which I like much better...

The roaring beneath my feet
caused by rising black water
clashing against the steep wall
forcing it to move and comply.
Salty drops of desperation
burning on my skin like acid.
I can feel their power in every vein
two forces against each other,
one stubborn, unyielding
the other passionate, explosive.

The growling thunder decreases
while sunbeams turn black water
into blue glittering softness
caressing the steep wall gently
while some rocks give in
and devote themselves to her.

ORIGINAL VERSION:

The roaring beneath my feet
caused by angry sea
clashing against steep walls
like it wants them to move, vanish.
But they don’t, they’re shouting,
grumbling,
two forces against each other.
I’m standing there, watching,
feel their argument
in the rumbling beneath my feet
and the rain hampers my eyes to see,
leaving mist.
Just shadows of the giants and the rough sea,
no sight of the horizon.
What’s beyond all this?
