civilized society?

In my opinion, a civilized society is one that has no need of law. You need law only in an uncivilized society, you need protection and implementation/enforcement of order etc. in uncivilized societies.

i think yours is a great answer but the most unattainable which is a shame.
one way would be to lobotomise the population...then get rid of the laws.

so the question now is how would you attempt to attain a civilised society
there will always be some who want more than others and will stop at nothing to get it.

i thought about removing guns but more would just be made.
how about dismantling all armed forces except things like nation guard which could just be used in times of disaster.
