What got you writing online?

here's a sort of offshoot of the main question, what keeps you writing online?
i'm posting this because i feel i should be writing a bit of poetry and instead, i'm trying to find anything but poetry to do.
this will sound silly, but sometimes i feel guilty for not writing more than i do. at other times i see the sites a bit slack and feel the need to try and jiggle it up a bit i shall do some by tomorrow
