For the record, billy, stop the crap. Some of your poetry is bloody fantastic (some of it's shite, if that makes you happy). What makes the difference, in my opinion, is the determination to say something someone else hasn't said in exactly the same way before. That makes sense in my head, so there.

i just shot over the key board i think that's the crux. has someone realised that they should always try and improve, that it is a craft.
to be loved but most importantly learnt. and not just the writing side. since coming to poetry i've learnt to see lines and phrases and a host or shit like metaphor etc in a different light. while some poems are good even without understanding, in general i've got an ability to take something from a poem.
it's no longer just words or language.
