I get lost for days in just a few lines of poetry, and simply do not understand how everyone else does not stop what there doing when they experience the shear awesomeness of some well written words (yes, my friends think I'm a little batty)
I never said I enjoyed writing poetry, I feel a compulsion at times, I'm rarely satisfied with what I produce, with a few exceptions. eventually I abandon a piece and stop working on it, I never "finish" writing anything. Reading good poetry, on the other hand is marvelous. I started as a kid, so I can't really say when the moment "that poetry found me" was.
