Impending Doom

Of consequence she speaks, yes I
Have seen that gleam within her eye,
When chance appears for mischief made
With crackers, cats and lemonade --
Just mix with rum and fur will fly.

"But soft!" the poetasters cry
"What light is she illumined by?
How dare she mock, that sluttish jade
Of consequence?"

Their verse, it comes from God on High
To nestle on a lover's thigh
For bathos works to get you laid
By fools; I'd rather face the blade
Bare breasted to this poet-wry
Of consequence.

With crackers, cats and lemonade-- sounds just like me watching Telly

Two limbs or two ricks, take your pick, framing a shake or a spear, as you will dear,
yet I think more of happenstance than anything of consequence, oh! don't look askance,
grab your spear, come, let's dance, and leave those others to wallow in their pride
for never through your light will they be illumined by (their heart's are cold & they are blind)!
