All this year's troubles are past,
they really weren't meant to last.
Let's give each other a hug,
instead of a cold shouldered shrug.
It's now time to sing and to dance,
let's do it while we have the chance.
Tomorrow we start a new year,
let's do it with good will and good cheer.
And now let's finish this rhyme,
And, let go, and sing Auld Lang Syne!
Oh what a wicket web we weave!

My turn:
I can't seem to keep,
My new resolutions,
So after some thought,
I've reached a solution:
I'll make a resolve,
To drink lots of beer
And smoke like a fiend
The rest of next year
I'll swear on my mom,
To be such a lout
And lay around daily,
Till I get the gout
On top of all this,
I'll take up new drugs
And increase my intake
Of casual love
When next year rolls round,
If I even make it,
I'll swear to be drunk,
Fat and always be naked

C'est moi mon tour?
A Toast to the New Year
Now once again as in the past,
the time has come, but will not last,
So let us toss out all our fears,
and welcome in the coming year.
And let us leave no unturned stone,
of sins to others, let's now atone,
and leave our anger, hate and strife,
within the fold of coming night.
And with a smile upon our face,
no matter that it seems misplaced,
lets pledge together this one thing,
joy to others only bring.

New Year Sucks
My days are dank and dripping with gloom
I suffer from SAD at this time of year
My ears don't hear sweet sounds of cheer
I feel instead a sense of doom.
I walk around under a heavy cloud
Trying to appear as if I'm well
That all around me life is swell
But really I dress each day in a shroud
Miss Haversham and I share the same point of view
Each day is dreary, weighed down with regret
The darker the days the worse it gets
New Year can just go .... itself.
