we all know of what happened over there.
the question is;

will such atrocity start a right wing Christian led jihad. i don't think any single person had killed that number of people (civilians) with small arms fire before
will there be copycat loonies or will he attract a following and become a sort of figurehead to rally round. will his writings of which i haven't read, become a sort of manifesto for the right wing he seemed to be part of?

Will it start a jihad? No. I can't possibly imagine that happening. Nor do I see him becoming a significant figurehead though certainly there will be some who admire him.

Will it inspire similar actions? [Without wanting to glorify the guy] I think it will. In terms of killing lots of people and becoming famous he's been chillingly effective. I'm certainly glad I don't own any stock in island based conference venues because they're certainly going to suffer a loss of business over the next few years. And if I ever decide to off a lot of people...small island...hard for people to get away...hard for the police to get to quickly...gonna be top of my check list.

i think there may be a few copycats or someone wanting to beat his total, but i can't see him starting a jihad either.
i wonder what effect it will have on islamists and other groups, will they be happy or worried after seeing what a right wing christian is capable of ?

what about his manifesto. if it becomes a handbook (admittedly a rather large one) couldn't get the christian cranks worked up enough to do silly things, which may escalate into a christian holy war? or on the otherhand will it simply fade into obscurity?
