An Ode to Rush Hour Traffic
#1
I sit in my car.
Surrounded by other cars.
Going nowhere fast.

I curse at traffic.
There is way too much of it.
Really isn’t fair.

How much longer ‘till,
Traffic starts moving again,
So I can get home?

Finally I move.
Extremely slowly at first.
Soon I’m going fast.

I hate that traffic.
Psychologically draining.
Two times every day.

I like the almost telegraphic structure of this. It captures the monotony of the daily commute and thus life wonderfully.

Glad you guys like it. I kind of mentally wrote it when I was stuck in the normal afternoon rush hour traffic on the highway in NYC.

Hi!
It's great!
I hate that traffic too!
I wonder: is there any place in the world with good traffic?
Correct answer, I guess, "No."
Thanks for sharing.
