The rain
Steady drops of water
Pitter-patter in the puddles
The drops of rain
Making ripples in the pond
Mesmerizing circles
Moving outward from the center.
The hypnotizing sound
Of drops hitting the ground.
Oh how we long
For it to stop.
Oh how we long,
For it to dry.

Thank you. Until I wrote this last night (on paper, then copied it to my computer later), I never really believed my friend who said she can disconnect her hand from her brain and just write something nice.

I love the rain (in moderation), especially the sound of it so I felt a soothing and calmness from this piece in the first part.
Thank you

Beautiful. What you described... I've felt that way as well during rainy days. My only minor, minor nitpick would be there is a disconnect between the first and second stanza, and I just didn't understand why the POV mood of the narration suddenly changed. Just imo. But still, very lovely.
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

Never actually realized that in my own writing Addy, something for me to definitely think about when I keep writing. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm glad everybody likes it.
