if I was a woman (content warning)

if I was a woman I'd be the kind
Bukowski would have fucked
then written a nasty poem about

drinking a whiskey as he devises
a fresh simile for how my thighs taste
the look on my face

as he kicked me in the cunt
hurling a bottle as I made for the door
and I'd hear him striking

the tobacco stained keys
while stalking down the rusty steps
of his latest motel six

i think the pic is fantastic. and poem suites it perfectly.

we all know Bukowski was a womaniser but i don't think
many know how much of a dirty obnoxious bastard he was.
the juxtaposition between the writer and the woman in the pick
is priceless. some of the images evoke strong emotions

the 2nd verse while only short captures an essence of the man
if you've heard him live, those lines will reinforce his foul mouthed
escapades he delighted in talking and writing about.

an excellent marriage of text and picture.
thanks for the read

Thank you for the kind words BillySmile By "the writer" do you mean Bukowski or the person narrating this poem?

EDIT: Removed this last verse:

maybe I'm more use to him
in the form of a fan
from the new century
