Awake (A Drunken Tribute to a YouTube Dream)
#1
Red hair over the left shoulder.
21st Century blue plaid shoulder pads.
You breathe like sex,
Beth, and are the daughter of the king.
Sing songs of deliverance, no need.
Fair magnus.
Crack a raw virginity in your listener.
A Friday night.

I was having a night off from human beings, and got lonely. I was watching videos on YouTube. Beth Roars videos are always coming up on my screen, so I watch them. I was feeling brave this evening, so I decided to look her up and send a weird poem to her. I decided against that quick. But I saw this when I looked her up:

I assumed right away that I was entering a clever satirical site when I read this:

"Beth Compson Bradford, better known as Beth Roars, comes on the podcast because she embodies the new way creatives need to be creative to make a living.
Things Beth and I talk about:

Self-doubt
Taking tiny steps
Giving up on her dreams"

That sounded rather pessimistic for a serious interview.
But, turns out, it's a real interview. No smartass cleverness involved.

Well, that's said.

I wrote the above poem.

Sounds like a brain fart.

Here's an idea: next time you have a weird dream add another stanza to the poem
making an amalgamation of loosely connected thoughts.

Some length to this strangeness is what I desire.

It was longer. I cut most of the poem. Some lucky people here read the longer version before I did.

Why do you want length to strangeness?

Figure it would be interesting, what you're thinking.
Nothing means much anyhow so why bother trying to make sense of it?

Let your creative demons flow freely I say.

I wrote last night somewhere that billy started this site in December 7th.
Actually, I wrote December 12th.

Why did I say that? Because December is the 12th month!
How pathetic.

I'm usually better than that.

Maybe I'm getting older. Maybe I'm dying.

This site and Emily Browning has the same birthday!!!!!!!

I hope Beth Roars never . . . . . . never mind. I hope she does read this poem. But I wish she would have read the original version.

The time changes on the days time changes. But currently December 7.

At the bottom of the screen it says the site had the most activity on July 16th.
Sometimes it says July 17th. My birthday!!!!!

Exclamation marks.
