Hi Caravano - the revised edit was v4, just fyi.
The 'dawn light' and the 'intense, profound' are necessary for the Dantean allusion (which is not to say that it's been done well, but that it's necessary), and another experience from the depths, without which the reference to a wood is somewhat random.
