Modest announcement:

PigPen Write of Fall <-- is coming for you!!

Important name change announcement:

PWoF is now called: "IIce Station Zebra*".

It starts on World Mental Health Day (Oct 10) and ends on National Chocolate Day (Oct 28).

It starts on Wombat Day (Jan 10) and ends on International No-Flea Day (Jan 28).

Every three days there will be a new writing challenge and the opportunity to valiantly attempt to meet it.
You and your comrades will be able to post these things in a very special thread for all to behold.

All are Welcome! No one (not even the lowly, loathsome, or wet-behind-the-ears) will be excluded.

Keep an eye peeled for further announcements and hints of what some of the bizarre challenges** will be.
(And other spam attempting to whip up participation in this important creativity-inspiring event.)

Or, if you're the impatient sort, you could always try PMing "rayheinrich" or "Lizzie" to see if they've made up anything more.

**No writing challenges, promotional material, or on-topic, poetry-oriented spam for PWoF will contain any reference whatsoever
to Confederate monuments, statues, historical markers, or QDeathstar... oops, wait, I just screwed that up didn't I? Just how do
you inform a reader that the page they are looking at was intentionally left blank?

Diamonds from coal! I'm tempted to make some comment like "That's one tight asshole!";
but, being pathetically desperate to lure new blood into the PWoF den of horrors, I won't risk offending
potential fresh meat, so I'll resist.

But hell yeah, come on over. If you haven't already, PWoF will confirm your suspicions that there's
really nothing to fear here, just to lightly and compassionately pity.

as sincere as ever,
ray

And on a continuingly modest note: PWoF is moving to January.

WWF disambiguation:
For the World Wrestling Federation, (now World Wrestling Entertainment) see here.
For the World Wildlife Fund see here.
For the Winter Wordness Festival see below:

PigPen Write of Fall (PWoF) is strategically repositioning itself so as to better support its users in the constantly
changing ecosystem of inter-hemispherical world wordage.

It's moving to January and is getting its name changed legally to both protect the children and not sound too silly.

The new name is the "Winter Wordness Festival"  (WWF) (Though that's almost sure to change to some other name soon.)

There'll be the crowning of an Ice Princess (male or female, no sence being sexist),  sled racing... the usual.

I'm sorry I didn't take cognizance of the clash, Ray. I meant no disrespect, and will be writing for Fall in mid summer. Smile

I was surprised, but then figured out you weren't aware in some fashion.
But when I thought about it logically, there was only one thing to do.

I posted this over on the "Strategic Repositioning - PWoF moving and changing"
(with some more stuff):

-----------------------------------------------------
"But about that move... In my mind it was it an inescapable necessity if you believe, as I do, that 1. and 2. are true:

1. People only have a limited amount of time.
2. So holding two events at the same time detracts from both.
3. New Zealand National Poetry Month can't move from October.
4. So PWoF 2017 (sigh) needed to move."
