Iran Stresses Preparedness to Repel Enemy Attacks

Fars News Agency
April 24, 2010

The massive wargames conducted by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in the Persian Gulf showed that any enemy threats against the country will be reciprocated by Iran’s powerful response, a senior Iranian official said on Saturday.

“The world received this message from the IRGC’s wargames in the Persian Gulf that the Islamic Republic of Iran is always ready to defend the Revolution and is fully prepared to confront enemies in times of attack and aggression against our country,” Vice-President for Parliamentary Affairs Hojjatoleslam Seyed Mohammad Reza Mir-Tajjeddini said in an interview with FNA.
The official stressed that the recent military drills also showed that any enemy threat against the country will receive Iran’s crushing response.

Mir-Tajjeddini further stated that the IRGC exercises also demonstrated Iran’s military and defensive might and power.

The IRGC started massive naval exercises, codenamed as Payambar-e Azam (The Great Messenger) 5, in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz on Thursday.

Tens of ground, air and naval units of the IRGC participated in the exercises which are aimed at preserving security in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

The Strait of Hormuz, the entrance to the strategic Persian Gulf waterway, is a major oil shipping route. An estimated 40 percent of the world’s oil supply passes through the waterway.

A wide range of home-made missiles were test fired during the wargames which, experts say, showed the IRGC’s power for naval combats.

Various kinds of short-range missiles were also fired during the military maneuvers which will see its fourth and last stage tomorrow.

by irans powerful response?

give me a break. they'll be dead the water after the first wave of bombers hit them. most targets have prob already been painted in the event of attack.

as for their navy. i can see how speed boats would win them a war.

You just made a very important connection there SJ, who funds Israel is the important revelation and where does that funding base originate. Follow the money.

Washington to use Armenian territory to attack Iran says Azerbaijani MP
According to MP Eldar Ibrahimov, the United States is planning to use Armenia for offensive against Iran.

“The United States intends to dislocate its military bases in Armenia”, Public TV channel reports that the due statement was made by chairman of the committee on agrarian policy of Milli Medjlis Eldar Ibrahimov at a meeting with representatives of the Iranian parliament on April 27.

“Iran is actively cooperating with Armenia that occupied the fifth part of the Azerbaijani territory. If not for the comprehensive support of Tehran, Armenia would have withdrawn from the Azerbaijani lands long before”, he said.

Obama’s Threat to Launch a Nuclear Attack on Iran
[Image: 18965.jpg]
This confrontation [between the forces of the Apocalypse and Israel] is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people’s enemies before a New Age begins". U.S. President George W. Bush (in a 2003 conversation with French President Jacques Chirac)

"Preventive war was an invention of [Adolf] Hitler. Frankly, I would not even listen to anyone seriously that came and talked about such a thing." Dwight D. Eisenhower

"We don’t desire any nuclear proliferation in our region, and our policy is well known regardless of which country has such programs. For us it doesn’t matter whether it is Israel or Iran. I will call on the international community, which is so sensitive toward Iran, to pay attention to Israel, too." Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s Prime Minister

"Nothing in this Treaty shall be interpreted as affecting the inalienable right of all the Parties to the Treaty to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination."

i doubt the usa will attack any country with a first strike nuke attack.

nor will russia or china.

iran on the other hand might. israel certainly would under the right circumstance.

if an attack does happen whether by the usa or anyone else. it will probably be by conventional means.

Just to add to the facts, China is the only country in the World that uses a "no first use rule" .

China is a target rich environment, and it also has the largest conventional army on the planet.
First use of nukes does not make any sense for China.
china is more interested in becoming the worlds largest economic power.
it doesn't really give a toss about nuking people. that would go against all they're aiming for.

yes ,i agree with that, nuking potential customers is not in their interest
