Perhaps 'Mother Goddess' would be a better title to go with the 'cocooned' theme.
The first two lines don't quite work with 'estranged' and 'billion billion breaths' - they come across as just so many words.
Unless I missed a pun or something.

A very elegant  statement of the problem of immanence and/or the impulse to explore.  Immanence explains too much; exploration posits that that something remains to be explained.

so far away?

Or were they the ones who moved
so far away --- in which case,
I don't think the issue is related. Otherwise, fair enough -- a case could be made for just removing the first two lines, though.
