where did the punk go?

malcom maclaren manager of the sex pistols and punk icon
died very recently. yesterday in fact. whatever happened to the punk rock bands. did any of them stay the course.?

i remember the clash, the pistols etc, who can forget sid snots my way, yet i have forgotten it.

what just happened here was like me asking where have all the bands like the beatles and the stones gone
and you two showing me westlife or some other boy band.

i can'#t think off hand of a single punk group worthy of world acclaim.
it just seems such a short lived era in the annals of pop.

right and we have no really world class punk bands,

jagger, macartney and co lasted a life time, even ozzy osbourne lasted

Billy did ya ever listen to rancid they are very good...........punk meets rock meets ska meets pop.. a very popular band..i think you may be lookin for Oi music which came out in the 70's an early eighties

the b side of that single was a track called "clever bastards" it wasn't a bad record.
