My back deck is littered with shadows
where garbage quite often is prey;
racoons hunt the pale’s ‘til they’re shallow,
my backyard’s a mess yet again.
 
I tie down the lids with elastics
then top it all off with a stone;
but somehow these ‘coons just get past it,
my backyard‘s become a war zone.

I was just messing around with meter here, alternating lines with three amphibrach's, and then two amphibrach's and one imab. I'm not sure if I got the meter right, but I had fun writing this one.

i have no idea what an amphibrach is so i can't right say sometimes the fun is the most important ingredient
