Were words born screaming, heart exposed
phone lines open
website ready
how long would they survive?

I know words who barely whisper,
silenced by dust and dark; their voices
transfer only through fingertips
It could be worse

Your taction's interaction's... satisfaction.
(Sublime comes to mind.)

say what?

Dale
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

"Your taction's* interaction's... satisfaction."
equates to:
"Leanne's last stanza which non-verbally pronounces that the transfer of the meaning of many
subtle words is conveyed by the metaphorical touch of fingertips brings me great satisfaction."

I know words who barely whisper,
silenced by dust and dark; their voices
transfer only through fingertips.

*And from where did I acquire this word for my vocabulary? From the pitiless New York Times Crossword.
(Probably from Saturday or Sunday as these are the oftenest demoniac.)

P.S. The animal image is the actual title of the poem:

    Wallaby
    Otter
    Raccoon
    Ducklings
    Squirrel

Yet another profound level of meaning explicated. Smile

If not animals, then it could have been Why Onanists Reject Dale's Story

They never heard my story, they pulled out to soon!
People always disbelieve what they are to stupid to comprehend.

Intelligent people, conversely, quickly learn to disbelieve what they comprehend. (I'm told.)

I really enjoyed reading your poem. I'm suddenly finding myself choosing my words much more carefully and studying them from entirely different planes. Smile

Cute animals are worth a thousand pictures... nay, they are priceless (and wordless).

And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these.

Yes, our syntax blinds us to our words.

(Glad you liked my poem. Smile )
