Yeah. The reading isn't challenging in the least. I went to Barnes and Nobles and read one of her books in a sitting. The paper wasting is atrocious -- the left page is left blank and the right page has 3-5 lines on average! Sorry for the environmentalist rant

It is innocent. It speaks to a certain demographic (yeah, I said demographic, get over it). And if this inspires a young teenage girl or boy to read more poetry, then what's the harm. I really don't think it deserves such vitriolic attention. The poem isn't that good, it isn't that bad, and from what I saw about Leav, i think a lot of the emphasis is on the craft of making books and drawing.
anyway, fuck that... we should be voting on the girl with the amazing arse in the photo, and get all sexist and mucky-like (:
Shem are you being sarcastic? It's hard to tell.
So if not, I'll explain: Kloe Kardashian (who isn't a poet, and not a he and famous for being famous)
Well.......that is her ass.

(: I was being sarcastic about voting on the photo thing, of course (and I presume you mean arse )... but I honestly haven't heard of either of them, or hadn't up until reading this post. With regards to which, I wouldn't like my comments to be read as me simply being a contrarian for the sake of it; all I thought was the poem really really isn't that bad; and by THAT bad, I mean not bad enough to go to all the trouble of highlighting it; in fact, if it were posted here from some anon. user it would hardly register as anything at all. Having said that, I see that there was some misunderstanding about who actually wrote it, and I presume the original intention was more a personal attack rather than an attack on the actual poem; or at least, in deriding the poem there was a wider meaning and purpose. I still haven't googled Kloe Kardashian yet (and probably won't - famous for being famous is all I really need to know about people who are famous for being famous), but I assume she isn't well liked.

Actually Shem, it was meant more as an attack on the media than on KK, although I care not for her or any of her ilk.

dale Yes, I see, that is why i said it had a wider meaning (not a deeper one, mind you) than just the quality of the poem, which due to my ignorance of this person and her relation to the media was a bit lost on me. As for the media, i try to stay well away from it (if by media you mean television and newspapers or magazines - it must be at least six or seven years since I have even owned a television let alone sat down and watched one). I suppose it is a bit like a meat eater arguing about the quality of meat with a vegan(:

OH dear. Do you at least have netfix or hulu or prime? There are tons of intelligent shows going on right now that are brilliant. I think the era of reality tv is slowly fading away....(thank zeus)

Is it? I hadn't noticed, of course I don't watch TV either, nor any of that other stuff. My video card is too slow. I find out about most of it from my daughters who do watch TV. When they are with me, I force them to go outside and play so they will get some exercise. They think I am punishing them for something. (more of a Poseidon guy myself)
Listen. Smile. Agree. And then f*ck Robert Downey, Jr.

while it reads well, i think it's pretty much on par with the novice poet who knows how to write in the da dum meter.
while i think
We had no ending,
no said good-bye.
are two decent short lines, the last couplet dissolve any praise i may have had for it.
because of it brevity (which i like) it includes the two silly trite lines at the end which is almost a third of the thing; my vote is not so good but i wouldn't say it's sucks. it's just not what i would call good

@ Dale....I prefer the Sherlock look.
Guess what??? Ironically enough, KK's bare ass is out there on the internet....The news said it would break the internet, but so far it hasn't. I personally am watching philae land on a comet. More interesting to me.

"KK's bare ass is out there on the internet"
Yeah I stumbled across it looking for the one I used...several times, several different shots. As far as I am concerned it/she is pretty repulsive, as it throws her whole body out of balance, even more so than someone who has had a boob job. It makes it seem as though she is no longer human and instead some kind of fairy creature, but not in a good way. All she needs are goat feet, and maybe two small spiral horns growing out of her head. Kim Faunassian
"@ Dale....I prefer the Sherlock look. " There are no "@dale" twitter is for twits. Not into the man-of-steel types?

I don't twit either. I just use the @ to acknowledge whom I'm speaking to. As for men of steel...he was good in that one too, but the accent got me in Sherlock.
I sill think his best performance is Tropic Thunder.

I never saw that. I really like Downey, Jr., Stiller and Black, however I generally avoid anything that, that little shitcake Cruise is in. Although good satires are hard to find, along with hard men.

I despise Cruise as well....but the part he played in this was hilarious. You really need to see it.
