i think it's about two people understanding the dynamics of silence and being comfortable with it. i would have lower case for 'widening' and i am thinking if you could use a better word instead of widening but which conveys the same meaning.

Nice combination of the words widening and winds. I thought the line silence turns is a  line and goes well with rapport. It is a beautiful poem.. I can favorite this one.
