very nice Chris, alliterative b&c make it more interesting love fossils.
I have a moss agate pendant my granduncle made my mother. Not as impressive as a fossil but I'm fond of it for sentimental reasons snowflakes of moss enclosed in agate primordial pendant

Thanks Marianne. Love your little 'ku' a lot too! I bet that is a nice specimen. I gave my wife a moss agate carved into a skull. She has it in a miniature bamboo bonsai. It looks like an island temple of sorts. A striking way to display it.
I am a bit of a fossil and rock freak. My wife is from Canada and told me about the Burgess Shales in British Columbia. They are unique in that their conditions have preserved many soft-bodied species. Marella splendens is the most ubiquitous. Cheers/Chris

oops posted starflakes instead of snowflakes, surprised that slipped by your sharp eye chris, better edit it.
I have as small collection of tumbled gemstones, don't know much about them, but they're interesting collectables. Have a few books on them, but they mostly go into what their reported 'medical' and 'spiritual' benefits are according to the crystal enthusiast new-agers, which is interesting tho dubious. My birthstone is turquoise and I have a nice chunk of that which a gal-pal gave me. Mostly they're on the lounge-room windowsill as ornaments. Not sure what else to do with them.

I have hundreds of rock and mineral specimens. They are everywhere on tables, sills, mantles, in bonsai landscapes and collectors boxes.
