Lyrics: Birds
#1
[if nothing else, this is the only song about birds you'll ever read that doesn't have the word "fly" in it Smile]

Birds

Baby, your ribs aren't wrong
To ache;
The little bird in you
Is fighting its cage.

Soon, you'll let your wishbone break,
And your little bird will try
Its wings upon the wind,
Baby, mine.

We chained daisies,
But a bird has hollow bones--
The bird in you is yours,
But she is not your own.

Ok so it reads very well, when do we get to hear it ? or post some chords with it ? should it read baby, be mine. Best Keith

If your undies fer you've been smoking through em, don't peg em out

I work with a composer who will ultimately decide how the song goes, and I'm looking for feedback on the words in vaccuo, but here's a sung version, if it's good to hear:

Hmm... listened to the song, I like it's lyrical quality. The enjambment throws it all off, though, it may sound better with longer lines and less unexpected breaks.
*Warning: blatant tomfoolery above this line

I didn't know that a little bird's wishbone had to break before it could fly. (not meant as facetious)

How do you give feedback to song lyrics?

I have written lyrics to several, quote unquote, songs though I know nothing of music application. Is it easier to put music to lyrics or lyrics to music?
I would like to learn more on lyrics and song. Is there a specific place on this site for this?
Thanks
