                Here's to Michael the lead in our show,
                Who loved limericks (how apropos).
                When you're dead, well, you're dead;
                And those words in your head?
                Here's a toast to the next place they'll go.

                                                                                                                a brightly colored fungus that grows in bark inclusions

Thanks y'all. He died a few years ago, a wonderful writer, he was
in his 50's, not expected, just gone. I was trying to organize my
computer yesterday and I came across some emails of his I'd saved.
He was one of the funniest people on earth. Actually IS, as he was
making me laugh just yesterday.

True immortality exists for writers whose words are remembered.
It could be worse

Yah, I remember him as well. Well-humoured, helluva poet.
