The idea is that you write a poem on the topic and then you leave a topic for the next person to write a poem about.

Topic is: Vegas
I once told this blond chick to screw in a light bulb..

She got naked and asked "how do I get in it?"

A sordid glittering bitch
who'll take your money
and leave you begging for drinks
in a dive
while barmen and cardsharps
regard you with hate,
when an hour before
they were giant smiles.
Their names are Larry, Louie, Mike,
Simon or Joe.
Her name, always, is Vegas.

his eyes
the turquoise of a Siamese
his fur
pushed warm against me then
he stiffens
runs away
he leaves me
leaves me
for my wife
his fickle love bought for
a bowl of food

The thought of distant memories brought him to cry
he would sit in his chair and stare at a wall while they
played out in his mind

There was the laughter from her as she ran through the
field in the summertime, he recalled playfully chasing her
and pinning her down in a pile of daisies

Years have gone by though,
without that laughter to comfort
