Love & Poetry

I question, in hope you'll answer me,
Why has love lost faith in poetry?
When feelings & words go hand in hand,
What more could Love demand?

Actions, commitment, consistency, honesty, integrity, lots of things. And not just the words that stand in for them. Though you have a point. Love, a lot of times, doesn't even get words.

Love has lost faith in poetry? I think I might drop the first line here.
Enjoyed.

Hmm...i'll consider dropping the first line...

@rowens I meant the expression of love. Apparently poetry is NOT an adequate form of apology :\

I think you should leave the first line in and then answer it in a second stanza. "I question in hope you'll answer me" kind of begs for an answer don't you think? Rowens is right, there are plenty of other things love demands, so tell us your answer. I didn't like the word "feelings." Sorry not sure why, I guess it always make me sing that awful song, whoa whoa whoooa.....

I suppose not if your husband has cheated on you with your sister.

I think this would be excellent as continued piece with an answer (though I appreciate the difficulty in answering the question! Also agree with rowens point about love being beyond even language sometimes), if not I think it reads brilliantly as a short piece if you drop the first line. Either way this was very much enjoyed, look forward to hearing more Zerric Smile
