For the past few weeks a Robin Redbreast
has been trying to evict me from my garden.
I researched Robins on the internet and
read in one description that they were 'pugnacious.'
Not knowing this word, I looked it up.
Pugnacious - readily disposed to fight.
I'm doomed!

very cute! They are pugnacious ( once had a dog named that, he was a pug) A mom built her nest in the tree near my car, hatched her babies and every day when I went out to my car I was bombarded by this tiny robin, it was painful, but I endured until they all left home.
Enjoyed your poem!

Thanks Heart,
I've called this Robin 'pugnacious' also. He's been in the house and everything, just wandered in when the door was open. I think he's slowly accepting that perhaps I live here.
He used to shout at me but now he sings softly, and I ain't making this up, honest.
Glad you liked the poem.
