A Genius

I think (to summarize the brainfarts released so far), that we are all doomed. But our creator is to be blamed.

We have to create our creator too. Because there doesn't need to be creation. There doesn't need to be a creator to have something exist.

that does not make sense

I am experimenting with a polyphasic sleep schedule right now, I will be back after a nap

Why does it have to make sense? We create the creator that creates us. There is no beginning and there is no end.

Nono, wait, yeller: before rowen '(ever so successfully sabotaged his own remark starting to play out the postmodernist card) he did make sense:

In a nutshell:
we create what we think we need to believe in. Ever read Don Cuppit ? Or anything else by members of the sea of -faith movement?
Or Matthew Arnold's "Dover Beach"?

I found it helpful.

None of those philosphers matter. Making sense goes in circles, and I intend to expand the coils of a spiral into a conscious vertigo. That's the primitive way putting on its trousers. I play the outlaw up until I play the villain. And there are more than one spiral.

The modern box is shaped like a circle. The primitive box is a circle. To the postmodernist, the modern is primitive. And the postmodernist is trapped in a box that doesn't exist. I don't believe in the box. But I'm in love with a few people that can't function and wouldn't want to live without the box.

I just want to dance. But I have to be self aware at every moment, or that autistic dance will take over. And that's been a temptation. But I love to share. That's my box where I pace in circles.

I elicit 2 pearls by rowen :
this: Making sense goes in circles,
translated into philosphish: infinite regress.
and
"I'm in love with a few people that can't function "

and now I need my Iggie Pop fix.

cheers

Here's some song lyrics that I can relate to:

"Said baby I just wanna dance...good and evil match perfect...it's a great romance..."

Demons and tricksters play games, suffer, and stumble around into creating things good and bad. That active madness is far beyond postmodern intellectualism.

One of my favorite philosophers is Groucho Marx. Not the person as much as the characters in the movies.

like all things, genius is just a label, i've had my moments but usually i'm as dumb as shit. i will be surprised if autism takes over the reins of the world, should we all (our species) become autistic, then plastic brains will be a great discriptor for us. while most autistics are fairly pure of heart, the their lack of expression can be unimaginably dangerous (at times and depending on the severity) re your last post, i really do believe we all have the nature to change, it's what we've done since the dawn of time. we adapt, and we adapt well, it's one of the reasons i can't see autism prevailing, once the autistic people started outnumbering the rest, something bad would probably happen. i say this because we often adapt through violent means. i'm getting in the thread late so give me a bit of leeway

I do not think it is dependant on IQ.
the spark of genius: that is almost impossible to know. I could imagine that indeed everyone is a potential genius, but maybe most of the time it is purely coincidental that that spark of genius will be discovered. (external factors like living conditions, upbringing etc and internal factors: is the person extrovert or shy etc.) So I think this question could only be answered on an empirical basis. But who will do the research?
I consider it therefore unanswerable.
But it is an interesting question. the word " spark" instantly made me think of gnosticism, btw. ;-)
