Procrastination

I'm writing poetry.
I should be doing laundry.

I'm writing poetry,
As a convenient excuse
To delay laundry.
After all, I'm still being productive.

But when all is said and done,
I should be doing laundry.
If not, my mum will be reprimanding.

Haha, this one definitely rings true!

I could procrastinate at Olympic level... I'll go for the tryouts one day...
It could be worse

But you procrastinate so much, by the time you go for the tryouts they're already over. Wink

I don't think the last line is needed. It brings in an element of consequence which breaks the amusing mood of indifference you've established. It's a funny, charming poem. I used to write poems like this a lot. I still do when I can't think of any "big" theme or just feel especially nihilistic for some reason. Thank you for the readSmile

Thanks Hes, for the feedback. Smile

You're welcome Billy. And laundry needs to be done everyday, which I do, so I should reward myself with a cookie. Big Grin
