Third poem. Riddle with title and answer at the bottom

Built up and released into a network of knowledge,
inside and out, above and below;
flowing in waves as far as you can see.

Free to travel; but costs an arm and a leg,
burning fossils imprinted in the ground,
produced for free, then grown in machines.

Copperheads streched out in caves,
contractions and labor give birth to a draft horse;
the driver of the extremes.

Strongest in numbers,
keeping up with current events;
in a black mask running through the streets.

Resist the band conductor on the road going both ways;
charged with assault and battery,
held for months and returned with no fee.

A very nicely written riddle/poem. The images and ideas tossed about are very well expressed. It's witty too, like in the first line of the second verse, which offers two contradictory clauses that are both right. Thanks for the readSmile
