Lost Weekend in Vegas (readymade)

This is a reminder that
March month end/3rd Quarter
is approaching , we will need
all of your expense accruals
in to Scott and myself by noon
Wednesday April 2nd. Please
also a reminder all p-card holders
at your facility that they must go
and allocate all p-card expenses
by end of day
Monday March 31st.

There still seems to be
some ongoing confusion around
p-card allocations,
American Express ends their cycle
on the 1st of every month,
however for month end processing
we must have everything
allocated on the last
business day
of the month.

All expenses on their p-card
that are not allocated by then
will automatically book to your
miscellaneous account and then I
will have to manually move them
all to their correct general ledger
account. If you have any questions
please let me know.

*email reminder from comptroller. Minor changes.

I think I may understand the "juxtaposition" of the title with the poem. The living of life against the mundane, I am not sure obviously, but it does work on that level for me.

I thought the content was good, I was drawn into how other people live a certain section of their lives.

I am into art, and look at these pieces in that way.

For me, reading this I thought the comptroller sounded oddly like a frustrated and emotionally distant father of teenagers. There is some behind the scenes scolding going on here (in my mind) but he never comes out and says "I think you've been using your expense account for booze and hookers)

Yes, I can see him boiling beneath the font. However, any employer holding a conference or training session in Las Vegas in setting themselves up for expense abuse.

I have to try more found poetry myself. I like the Dadaism aspect of it. I have done a few using other folks poetry titles before and scrambled another's poetry to find a new one, but nothing quite like these.
My new watercolor: 'Nightmare After Christmas'/Chris

Well, no one literally went to Vegas, our expense accounts are just used regularly through the course of business. I renamed it to create the juxtaposition. It almost seems he is quietly accusing us of running off to Vegas on company funds. Also, I found an irony in the thought that he would be sending this same email if we had run off to Vegas and it would only be a matter of time before we were all fired. Kind of like an understated pent up energy.
