How To Share Audio On TPP

It is nice to hear poetry read aloud and thankfully TPP has made it easy for you to post your audio.

You can upload it to YouTube as a wmv file, or another file format acceptable to YouTube. Then it's a simple matter to embed the video into your post. The problem is, creating and uploading YouTube videos can be technical and time consuming, thankfully there is a way to save mp3's to the web and simply hotlink the uploads to a post using the mp3 tags.

Kiwi6 is an easy-to-use, free site that allows users to upload mp3's and link to them from anywhere on the web. You will need to register an account and then you can upload your audio and then link it to your post.

Be sure to copy the Direct Hotlink and not the 'Share' link.

Then paste that link into MP3 tags:

Code:
[mp3]http://k005.kiwi6.com/hotlink/gd1b9c5f9l/your_link_will_be_here.mp3[/mp3]

And that's all there is to it Smile

Things to remember:

Poems posted must be your own work.

We ask that you please post the text of your poem when posting an audio version.

Any online storage site can possibly lose, delete or otherwise mishandle your files. You should always save copies of your work.
