Mammy made a mess in his pants and called it gravy.

The Compass in Northern Darkness,
that North Star among Aurora Lights.
Glimmering breeze, the Fiery Aura
unviolated by Drunken Victory.

A Heel is His own Opponent,
Large, and Loving the Shakti,
Rainbow Serpent in which
the Southern Arrow Crosses

Every Shadow under the Sun
like some dismissive Mother,
Seeking a Child in Some Foreign
Egg.

He was Born like Wholeness
From the Source
and in Obeyance to a Cosmic Whim
Eloped the Manor of Heaven

to Another Sequence, Left
of Reason, or the Budding Seed,
Coming Before Creation,
the Fire of the virgin Breeze.

I'm in awe of the images and their related concepts here.  (I might have said "inviolate" and "Obeisance," but that's just me.)  As to the title, I've always wondered about the origin of Superman's most difficult opponent - not where he came from, but from what.  This is surely the best bet for that little man of magic in the bowler hat and the kilt.
This poem is telling multiple myths. The Myth of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, which is telling multiple Myths; the Myth of the Tree of Life; the Myth of Dionysos and Aura; the Myth of me and Emily Browning; the Myth of Achilles and his Heel; the Myth of professional wrestling; the Myth of the Directions of the Globe; the Myth of the Cultural Appropriation, in Current Terms, of Indian Buddhism and Tibetan; Australian Dreaming and Neil Gaiman and Caitlin Keirnan; a condensed poem on the rhetoric of my posts in The Sewer.

There are a few other Poems in this Series: Taking Off My Hat to the Sun

These two are out of Sequence, but short and to the point:

The Apple has no Core

Cynic-no need for love, Inanna-Love and agon, Baphomet-Love without Division, No need for love as a distinction.

Love

One Consciousness,
some Bodies are more beautiful than Others.
Well, all righty, then:

"Kltpzyxm!" and he's gone.
Why does he come back?

How?

He makes his own rules, for the fun.

His own strengths and weaknesses.

He makes fun of Superman because Superman is so seemingly perfect.
But Then There is Laughter (Heard From a Nearby House)

A heavy vehicle stuck in the mud,
the harsh, traumatizing voices
of men.
Go on! Go on! Stop! Go on! Move! Go! Go !  Go    ! !    ! Stop ok Go!,

but then there's a comforting laughing voice
usually from

Too much imagery, much of it feels almost abstract.
