drones

for me,self defense means,if my territory gets attacked i defend myself.going to the other side of the world shooting rockets into villages can't even be called preemptive strikes in my opinion.

I have to agree with you SJ. Flying drones overseas as self defense is not self defense in my opinion. I would call it self offense. Most 9 to 5 everyday people will believe pretty much what ever they are told on CNN or fox or even on alot of INTERNET news these days. I don't really understand why we can't just all get along man. Confused

Drones alone won't do it. The Israeli Defense Forces will have to send its troops and tanks back into Gaza to clean them out, and get the area back under PLO control.

Drones are good for precision attacks on limited targets. But they won't force an armed group to stand down or die.

Well if they were pointed at North America and were being launched and could in fact reach us then a defensive move would be in order I would think. Why not let these people defend themselves? It's just a question that lots of people ask.

To tell you the honest truth SJ( and not meaning to offend anyone here ) I could not give a toss. A lot of other people really don't either. These people have been fighting over that chunk of ground for centuries and will continue to for ever man. All America does by being there is kill and get killed, dragging everyone else into it with them.
Let them kill each other if they want to but why North Americans need to is beyond me.

i have to say i'd have wiped pakistan and afaghanistan off the face of the earth if i'd have been in charge. there is no doubt that factions with axes to grind and the willingness to grind them are there in numbers. sorry but fuck em.

if pakistan wont monitor it's own border till its too late then again fuck em.
it's own people live in fear from extremist who cross the border and demand homage.

none of the drones would have been needed if pakistan had protected it's own boards. but no instead, pakistan and india engage the terrorists in pleasantries and fund the fuckers to cause trouble in each others country.

i have no sympathy.

The best was the American response :

"Al Qaeda and its allies, he continued, have not abandoned plans to attack the United States. “Thus, in this ongoing armed conflict, the United States has the authority under international law, and the responsibility to its citizens, to use force, including lethal force, to defend itself, including by targeting persons such as high-level al Qaeda leaders who are planning attacks,” he said".

It just sounds like a load of regurgitated "post-9/11" speech Sad.

And to be honest, the US may have air superiority but Al Qaeda is underground/undercover. So it doesn't just "win the war".

And go to "Tools -> Options... -> Advanced ->" and there will be a tick option - "Check my spelling as I type".

I thought that "Al Qaeda" was a file name at the C.I.A. some bullshit ops thing. Was later used for terrorist purposes.
