Thank you

I recently had my first piece (a version of 'Yellowjackets') selected to be published by a tiny tiny magazine in the Northwest.

I realize that publication attracts different opinions from different people, but it has been a goal of mine recently. I would not even have considered chasing this goal, or have reached it to any degree, without the help of you guys. I thank you for your close eyes, honest words, and well-placed recommendations as shown by your feedback. They really have been invaluable.

Thanks for giving us such high quality work to read, Geoff. Despite differing goals, I don't think any of us would dare suggest that publication is an easy prize, no matter how tiny the magazine. In fact, I generally find that small publications are the most discerning, so many congratulations!
It could be worse

way to go Smile
while having something published doesn't always reflect the quality of a piece or lack of it. we saw this one grow through feedback. like leanne said, thank you for giving us the chance to be part of the act.

Congratulations, Geoff.

This tiny magazine evidently has good taste. Smile

I suppose you will be handing a slice of the royalties over to Billy --or I can look after them? Well done for achieving your goal. Smile

That's super cool Phil! Yeah, it would be awesome if you could scan a copy so we can all ogle it (or is the magazine available online) but anyway congrats Big Grin
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.
