Yep, you're right, that's another possibility. A cheap synthetic protein source (hell it doesn't have to be strictly "meat" as such). If we do that we'll probably do it to the rest of our food pyramid too. We'll be eating something that looks like powder or astronaut crackers

imagine growing muscle (meat) in a lab. it's definitely an idea though you'd need some big labs in order to make a dint in the food market. imagine a 30 kilo chicken muscle
