One Brother to Another

One Brother to Another

No desires
to wither away.

I will willingly ascend
with eyes wide open.

Share in my thoughts
of well being.

My presence
will always remain.

This is an actual text message from my brother, Paul. It has not been changed, or modified.  He is not long for this world. Please pause to offer him a thought. He would do the same for you. Thanks

Hey. I hope you and your brother comfort. His thoughts have impact, I'm glad you've shared them. I can only offer a bit of kindness, hope that's enough.

Thank you,
A bit of kindness goes a long way, my friend, and that is plenty enough.
Funny, that on a poetry forum in the middle of this internet ocean, where I don’t really know anyone, I can still feel the genuineness of your sentiment. I do appreciate it, too.
Sincerely,
Mark

Thinking of him and you, Mark. It's lovely that you are brothers in poetry as well.

Mark,

My thoughts go out to both of you.  It's a remarkable text.  I hope I am that brave and aware of others when my time comes.

Hi Mark,

I just wanted to add my sympathies for you and your family. Thank you for sharing your brother's words with us and I am glad that you might get some solace from that. It is interesting how basing a relationship on honesty and respect can make even distant friendships rewarding.

All the best,
steve

7 brothers, like 7 candles on a cake
being blown out, one by one:

RIP, my brother,
your presence will always remain
