Osoth

all on salt becomes turning I know you know
Yhanthli's depths won't spit rotting teeth into
the laughing fishes that will blink you thwo
burns gu flfshej her blighted shadow
licks the corners of a sphere from long throats
while neon voices tie ropes around writhing clouds
where do partners drink sand and offspring
folds the shouting octopuses into corridor light
bringing that night Osoth that one when yohkir
hung low between the air Osoth
the sun burst from the backs of their fluid

Ktath is a fecal skeleton I know you know
but no golden orb will infect nwgog I dislike to speak
shglofthi Pfu njaj wthreh zothkk in some eternity
you win deep dark to Rlyalesh and gwshithj
in the Yhanthli will slither your beautiful jaw

blue deep in salt we sleep I know you know

II. To the Dreamer

Shalef

yellow blades flake your gap I cannot shape
and ink is not great because yes my eyes
speak apocalypse on the turning while
Rlyalesh calls khyho gsh ythejj
where thshwok Pfu the ground rains pus

in some eternity your fire glances
at the groaning of Ktath as together we shoot
through tessellated mist in a golden orb
held by their red god but Yhanthli
will always remain though ythrji

iron will peel their hair for trophies
underneath the fever when we see all when we recall
the kaleidoscopic mountains where the sun
sets inside up and to the right for everything golden
is ours Shalef even the ants

you will not see me through light Shalef
fgwsha gnthuweh the yjyofa sees
that they all pass except our own

we will return to the Yhanthli

Draft 2: Farewell Letters Between Those Before

I. To the Voyager

My Osoth,

Salt becomes all on turning, I know you know.
Y'ha-nthli's deep spits stars across
like laughing snakes. If I blink,
will it be you who burns? Or does this shadow
stretch towards corners of a sphere?
Forgotten mirrors tie ribbons around clouds
where partners drink sand while their offspring
darklight bathes and spars with the screaming
octopuses. Light brings that night Osoth?
That one when Yohkir hung low between the mud?
The sun bursted from the backs of our throats.

K'tath is a diamond glacier, I know you know,
but no golden orb will split my skull, I dislike to speak.
I dream you win deep dark to R'yalesh. And maybe
trenchpods in the Y'ha-nthli will slice your eye.

Blue deep in salt, we sleep---I know you know.

Time's kindness to you,
Shalef

II. To the Dreamer

Adored Shalef,

Blades fill your gap I cannot shape, and
ink is hardly any good. Yes, my eyes
speak apocalypse on the turning while
R'yalesh calls.

I dream your fire glances
at the groaning of K'tath and together we shoot
through misty puzzles in a golden orb
held by their red god. But, Y'ha-nthli
will always remain, though timeforged.

Iron will peel their hair for trophies
underneath the blood. We see all. Recall
the mountains where the sun sets inside
in the north and to the left. Everything
golden is ours, Shalef. Even the maggots.

You will not see me through light, Shalef.
Fgwsha gnthuweh. The timestone sees
that they all pass except our own.
We will return to the Y'ha-nthli
and I will awaken you myself.

Time's kindness,
Osoth

Draft 1: Farewell Letters Between Those Before

I. To the Voyager

My Osoth,

Salt swallows all on turning, I know you know.
Y'ha-nthli's depths do not offer laughing light
and even with ten thousand others, light is empty.
If I blink, will it be you who burns? Or does
this shadow stretch towards corners of a sphere?
Should there be light and I forget its lies,
we will be united again, drinking salt with our partners,
while our offspring darklight bathe and spar
with the octopuses. Light brings that night Osoth?
That one when Ujogkt hung low between the mud?
The sun bursted from the backs of our throats.

K'tath is lost, I know you know, but no golden
orb will split my skull, I dislike to speak.
I still dream you win deep dark to R'yalesh.
And maybe, one night, my Y'ha-nthli trenchpod
will open to your sight.

There we sleep, I know you know.

Time's kindness to you,
Shalef

II. To the Dreamer

Adored Shalef,

Sand fills your gap I cannot spit, and
ink is hardly any good. Yes, my eyes
speak farewell on the turning while
R'yalesh calls.

I dream your fire glances
at the sand of K'tath and together we shoot
through mist and seek puzzles
in a golden orb held by their red god.
But, Y'ha-nthli will always remain,
though timeforged.

I bring light to Kakosa---when your partner
disappeared flesh of my offspring,
N'soth I think it was.
The pair is as good as limbs.

You will not see me through light, Shalef.
Fgwsha gnthuweh. The timestone sees
that they all pass but ours.
We will return to the Y'ha-nthli.

Time's kindness,
Osoth
