Seeing Me

Repairman at work,
Travels back and forth through time.
On the clock to prevent a past,
that killed his relative November, 1939.

Personal history is present,
past, future, where he's from.
Sometimes time needs fixing.
Looking through scope,
ready to save his timeline, or so he hopes.

They come into his view,
great grandfather on his mothers side.
Running into battle,
soon to detonate a mine.

Timer is ticking,
hour glass running out of sand.
Rushing into action,
hopefully according to plan.

One might assume that technology
is flawless where he's from.
Damn it, there is a malfunction
plaguing his future, also his stun-gun.

Repairman is panicked,
needs a plan, cannot resist.
God forbid he never exists.

Through lenses he zooms in,
He sees himself, or is it them.
Looking at I.
He runs ahead of great grandad,
ready to take his life

He covers the explosive,
His life to save a legacy,
that is ours?

Sweat appears in his scalp,
the repairman gets ready to time jump.
After seeing his end?
How does time travel work again?
Only one thing is impossible for God: To find any sense in any copyright law on the planet.

Hey Bunx. I read your post on Sci-Fi before this, so I had an idea what to expect. Your title could do a little more work but overall you explore the paradox pretty well. I think a subtle nod to Wells or Back to the Future or Star Trek might add a little charm. Nice one Biff.
