How frail it is,
this organic robot suit.
One tiny germ is all it takes
to make the system go kaput!

One misstep,
one sliver of lead,
one minute less of air,
we are all one sudsy shower slip
away from sudden death.

Alas, we don't need poor Yorik to contemplate the inevitable.  The wilted flowers on the table, the shriveled worms on the sidewalk ... it's all foreshadowing.   Confused
