I received a warning?

Dear QDeathstar

You have received a warning from the staff of Poetry Forum.

Trolling:
"complete shit." in Milo's Forum
--

I deleted my poem and edited the post because i didn’t want it to be read by anyone, including the mods. That’s not trolling. Doesn’t say who warned me so can’t really take it to PM... but wtf.

No one is psychic, we can only see the post you leave, not what you edit out. Maybe next time just leave it blank or write "deleted poem". Your post happened to be below another member's inappropriate self deleted post. You can PM me if my explanation is unclear.

how can i troll someone with a post they can’t read, ellajam?

And just for shits and giggles, say we (whoever this mystery user is) were trolling each other, which we were not, complete shit was in reference to what i had written only, if both people decide to remove their posts why get involved at all???

If you'd like to take it to PM I'll give an example, though I'm sure you can figure it out.

Or you could be a reasonable human being.

If you'd like to delete this post and avoid the warning for arguing a mod call other than in PM or arse/sewer I'd be glad to discuss it in PM. your choice.

I’m happy to get warned for something I actually did, ella...

I'll take that as a no to bringing this to PM.

PS, I believe your explanation and would have rescinded the warning had you been willing to have a private conversation about it.

Just a note on this:

A deleted post is not something that has never been posted on the site. It's a known troll tactic to target someone by leaving a nasty post against them just long enough for the target to see it then delete the offending post.

I've seen it done expertly and seen the damage it can do to the target and morale of a site.

In this case any misunderstanding could have been avoided by just deleting the poem itself or leaving a different note. We are all responsible for what we post, deleted or not.
