So, I'm not really writing anymore and all my published stuff is out of contract, and I can't actually be bothered with it. Anyway, I thought if anyone thinks there's anything salvageable in all that wreckage, you're welcome to pick over the bones and see if you can make something multimedia out of it. I have neither the talent nor the inclination to do anything more with poetry other than scribble bits on a page, and that's no use to anyone these days.

I will prolly take you up on this, ossuary is my favorite, but it's already a video. On criticism in for fun is a close second. I'll see what else you got

You can take that and welcome to it -- you'd most likely do a better job than my very amateurish video

What a generous and interesting challenge, I will have a look at what might lend itself to an idea. Oh and when you say "other than scribble bits on a page, and that's no use to anyone these days" I actually really enjoy it when you scribble bits on a page, so it's some use to me. Best Keith
If your undies fer you've been smoking through em, don't peg em out
Don't ever stop scribbling bits on a page. Don't think about readers. Just write.

I'm not stopping it (though my output is not great these days) -- it's just not worth anything.

Van Gogh's paintings weren't worth much when he lived, just some food for thought
While my time here has been brief on the Pig's Pen, i've spent enough to conclude that your works are simply outstanding and all i can say
is that i wholeheartedly support Mercedes' thoughts.

Cheers Cat -- but really, I'm not fishing for compliments here. It's a reality that in the terms that the world measures worth, poetry is pretty low on the list. And I'm not doing it so that some lazy descendants can get rich off it

That shouldn't dissuade you from writing, though! Historically speaking, poetry was always low on the list. Again, that should not dissuade you. Even niche hobbies such as chess have amazing properties as they enhance critical thinking. That being said, poetry also has its fair share of properties that you can apply to other aspects of your everyday life. In the end, you shouldn't write for anyone but yourself.

To be clear, all I'm offering is stuff I've already written to people who have some kind of multimedia abilities, to reimagine it. For the most part, this means poems that have already been published so I've exhausted that avenue for them and maybe they could do with some new life. Or not. It will depend on whether those who have the talents will also have the inclination to do so.

Leanne,
I enjoy your scribbles, too, and would be sad if you stopped.
I am still wondering, though. What is that avatar?
I haven't the saavy to blow it up and figure out the mystery
of its characters. But I did do a search to see.
It's okay if you don't want to tell.
there's always a better reason to love

The avatar is a page of the poem Beowulf in the original Anglo-Saxon.

Kippers are making a comeback, if the tabloids are to be believed, of course that could just be a red herring ?
