DOMA law unconstitutional.
"Breaking News: New York divorce Attorney Lisa Beth Older discusses Federal Court's July 8, 2010 ruling on Gay marriage
On July 8, 2010 the Federal District Court held that "DOMA", a law banning recognition of gay marriage, was unconstitutional. The impact of this ruling will have profound consequences for gay and lesbian couples through out this country, says New York City divorce Lawyer Lisa Beth Older."

i think it would be good if every state found the dorma law unconstitutional. i hope it goes all the way to the supreme court
and stops actually being a law of the land.
I totally agree with ya billy.
Honestly, in this day and age I can't believe people are still trying to fight this. We have but one life to live and it should be lived in what ever fashion makes us happy as long as it causes no physical harm to others.
Nobody's beliefs should allow for others to be discriminated against.
You give to the world when you're giving your best to somebody else.
the sad thing is that it's taking this long.
everybody's life partner should be entitled to the same
treatment, shared healthcare, pensions etc.
so the church won't marry them is that a problem?
the problem is the fact the gov won't recognize them as life couples.
I'm thankful I live in Canada, a country which honors same sex marriages.
Quote: On July 20, 2005, Canada became the fourth country in the world and the first country in the Americas to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide with the enactment of the Civil Marriage Act. Court decisions, starting in 2003, each already legalized same-sex marriage in eight out of ten provinces and one of three territories, whose residents comprised about 90% of Canada's population. Before passage of the Act, more than 3,000 same-sex couples had already married in these areas.[1] Most legal benefits
commonly associated with marriage had been extended to cohabiting same-sex couples since 1999.
Though I am not gay I strongly believe in the right of choice along with any compensations aloted to heterosexuals.

These are just my thoughts but I think the U.S. will be some time yet in getting it together with this issue as there seems to be such a huge Christian and redneck population that has control of and is of the government.
You give to the world when you're giving your best to somebody else.
i agree. though the usa isn't as bad as russia
when it comes to gay acceptance. i think eventually it
will be the supreme court which defines what marriage is
as government seems to scared to make same sex marriage law throughout the land.
