Nicely name-dropped, well researched, and fun.  My first remembered nightmare was of the Marx Brothers (cartoon version, Zeppo missing).  They were all grinning evilly.  Only much later die I learn of their stellar virtues...

Thanks for the read and the comments.  Coincidentally, a "toonography" of all the cartoons that featured the Marx Brothers was recently published.  If I were the Marxist fanatic I once was, I'd buy it, and try to track down all the toons to watch.
