Interesting poem! I feel like part of this poem is a modern take on religiously based delusions. The last stanza dud throw me for a loop though. Almost like he is realizing he is in control of his own destiny / purpose

Hey Bunx- interesting that you seem to interpret 'Me' as male, since that is the gender usually ascribed to 'Me'. While the 'Me' in this poem is frequently thought of as male, in my mind that is better attributed to human invention than it is to any real person.

I considered changing the title, but would rather leave this one open to the various interpretations. That said, it definitely has an angle based upon Abrahamic faith traditions.
