Limericks
#1
Everyone go here: http://www.pigpenpoetry.com/showthread.php?tid=10817

and post a limerick. It is not intended to be the leanne-billy-milo show, I know you all write limericks, they are great, they are fun, they are not meant to be too serious.

What is stopping you?? Write that damned limerick already!!!

Yeah. Do that. And not just cos milo says so.

(actually, do it cos milo says so, it's safer that way)
It could be worse

A limerick about Super man.

A Super superb man that was steel
on film as an idol not real
the story is always
the same in the fray
He goes to go fight and not feel

An alternate version with a slight metrical transgression that may help or hinder the poem

A Super superb man that was steel
on film as an idol that’s not real
the story is always
the same in the fray
He goes to go fight and not feel

Both of those look metrically transgressed to me Hysterical

Oh, the limerick form has become
quite a source of confusion for some
but it’s two long on top
then the next two you crop
while the last ends with dum diddy dum
It could be worse

I once knew a guy that was really into me, he called himself Lime Rick. He said he loved everything that wasn't nailed down. And fuck rhyme. He said all that—to me...To me.

Take me where the wind blows...

Yes the form was definitely off I've tried to correct the poem on the first one and I wrote two more because I am bored.

A Super superb man of steel -- Man would have to be unstressed
on film as an idol not real
the story the same
He fights in the fray
and evil is beaten in zeal

He’s faster than bullets that bounce
On Muscles that twitch not an ounce
He feels not a hint
Of pain yet the glint
Of justice he shines in a flounce.

When beating on evil what is felt?
When fists are to break and to pelt
In faces so teeth
Are broken beneath
His pummeling blows that are dealt.

Amy Adams made it bearable. Or at least the first hour before I realized once again that this was a Superman movie without Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Nolan tried to be too dramatic. Crowe's Shakespearean performance seemed comical.

All I remember is Amy Adams. I made it an hour in, and I was drinking quite a bit, and was alone. So I had to retreat to the restroom. I snuck in too. I'm not going to pay 10 dollars to see anything that doesn't have Clint Howard or that French dame from Inception in it. That's a rule I made a while back.

Very limericky behavior

Have you ever seen Amy Adams in that movie where she was a nun? Ever since then, I've had to excuse myself, and go to the restroom whenever she appeared on screen. Or after she appeared on screen, actually.

By the way, do you happen to know what time it is?
