What new page?

I kinda like it, but I view so many websites trying to get more advance, you just have to get use to it. Just like FaceBook changing their Become a Fan to Like, it's stupid.
the only reason it's done it get more revenue for visiting pages they recommend, you wanna know who own the internet...it's google.
i now officially hate the twats.

Google used to be a reliable search engine.
Now it's a multi-billion dollar corporation. They're in it for the money and it shows off on their products/domains.

Not really, they took the ads off of the search page, causing them to lose even more money.

Took what ads?

no ads here either

They will only give Sponsored Links on some searches. If I type "English" I get plenty adverts. If I type "SuprBay" then I get none.

It's based on how relevant it is for business, I think. Giving the user the idea that they're ad-free.

Took me a while to get to google.com. It would instantly redirect to google.co.uk Angry

Back on topic, ads are still there even if maybe not for everyone.

To be honest, the change is not that bad it will just take people a while to get used to it. A bit like when anything is introduced to the Internet Community, the predecessor will always be preferred.

Take examples of Steam, The Pirate Bay, Google , Firefox etc...

Eventually people come round to realising it actually might be useful x).
in the end i think they should hire some designers, horrible looking page

edit - this post IS on topic... thread title is "new google page", or so i believe.
it never used to have that left hand column bob. first you tube had it now google has it.
(05-12-2010, 06:56 PM)bob5695 Wrote: [ -> ]you're half-right about the column at your left. you had the possibility to display it or remove it. it didn't show by default. now the story is different, since it's displayed by default and you can't even remove it (at least i haven't figured out how).
is yahoo the same or can it be removed?
if anyone finds a way to do it let us all know please.
all i want is a clean page without prompts and silly fucking links.
