just been watching on cnn
the car bomb in times square.

two gas canisters and two cans of petrol and some
gunpowder from fireworks.

it's been on for over an hour, i must say the car bomb sounds really sophisticated lmao. oh i forgot the two clocks Hysterical

the mayor used phrases like terrorists and freedom and why homeland security should give the city more money.

if the car bomb is he work of terrorists the terrorists need to keep quiet about it because all they'll do is make themselves look like morons.

bets on a disgruntled loonytune or terrorist of the sort mentioned on cnn by bloomburg. i'm going for moron with a grudge.

it seems it a person with a grudge who became a terrorist.
if that guy's a terrorist benny is saint peter. he split with his wife, lost his house etc etc and went to learn how to be a terrorist. he's refusing legal representation. and is being charged with

using a weapon of mass destruction. which made me fall off my chair laughing.

i think the persons a whack job and they're taking full advantage of his stupidity. and i'm off to breakfast
yes,it's a bit like the guy who tried to set his shoe on fire in a plane, hey mate you got a match?pathetic.
note the way the authorities are reacting though, full on,put more cameras immediately, krank up the hype, give us billions more to keep the american people save ,etc.
i'm getting paranoid walking home from the bazar with a can of kerosene while smoking a fag

Shahzad faces terrorism and weapons charges after authorities said he admitted rigging the Pathfinder with a crude bomb of firecrackers, propane and alarm clocks based on explosives training he received in Pakistan. Authorities said he was cooperating with investigators and did not appear in Manhattan federal court for a second day.

yep this guys a real terrorist Hysterical
if thats the training they're giving out they need to give up their day jobs
i'm sure it's all a load of bullshit, ofcourse he didn't have a course, this guy's just a nutcase and now used by the authorities to do some scaremongering and make themselves look good .
he may have been o one of the courses
but i can't see him as being a full paid up member
i think he was just angry at the course his life had taken.

If the Al-Qaueda was involved, this thread would be alot less humorous. Confused
yes,the stupid will get severely punished

you're confusing stupidity with intelligence.

yes he's intelligent but he's shown his stupidity on more than one level
waiving his rights.
not doing his homework re bombmaking
getting caught.

a non stupid person would have left the country within 10 hours.

parking he car in a place thats covered with cameras and getting changed in front of one of them....a black and white one (i think )

the guy's stupid.
a dumb criminal would have had more chance of getting away.
i really do think this guy didn't really care if he got caught or not.
i don't really think he wanted to kill anyone.

that said i don't actually know.

which by then was worth less than the mortgage that he couldn't afford the payments on.

Many depressed people do crazy things, just to get their 15 minutes of fame.
i agree.

that won't stop the powers that be from using him to get more funding and to push the terrorist threat as hard as they can once again.
