I'm surprised at how many views the poetry and podcasts have had there.
have people just given the things a cursory glance or have members actually used what few threads we have posted there?

does having such a thread make any noticeable difference to the site. does anyone listen to poetry other than their own?

Is there a lot of these to post? I prefer the ones where the poet reads their own stuff. And the ones where there are recent discussions of older poems, from around or before mid last century. I saw someone had posted something from Jorge Borges in the movie, music, section; maybe that could be put in the audio, podcast section? The Essential American Poets series and the Poem Talk with the original readings are the best.

If you can find anything by or about Kenneth Patchen and Delmore Schwartz in the place you're getting these recordings from, I'd like to see those on here.

yes lots, nut before posting i try and listen to them in case they really are too bad audio wise. (i hate libravox) there are lots more american poets to come, sadly the music stuff won't be going in there to make it recognisable as audio you can put a new audio icon on the post.

there are some schwartze, i've put one up. i'll do the rest as i come to them, the reason beinging if i do them out of sequence, i'll end up forgetting where i stop and where i just start Wink there was one with some of patchens stuff set to music but it wasn't that good a quality.

no more requests now please, i'm not a poetry disc jockey Big Grin
i am enjoying reading them though Smile

I didn't know how the site you're using works. Or how you were choosing the line up. I look forward to listening to the one you posted, tomorrow. I've listened to almost everything you've posted so far.
basically i'm doing it in order they come in, that way i won't forget who i've done. it's great that you're using them as are others from what i see Smile

the audio lecture you talked about has been put in the proper forum and iconised Big Grin
i've tried to lay it out a bit better

These are helping make my days more manageable.
Then they're worth doing, by some of the views they've been getting others also seem to be getting something from them Smile
does listening to them help or affect your poetry.?

Being poetry and about poetry, they let me play my ideas off others'. Even when there's nobody talking on the forum at the time. What I like to do with poetry is make connections, to map out a spiritscape by assimulating and merging intensities. And letting things knock each other around. And how you can make connections when listening to diverse poets as they're listed on here.
