it seems on the surface that racism is alive and well, and that it's being propagated by the the rich and wealthy.

source;

is it true. or is it unfair to blame the star?
i'll comment later

When it comes to this topic anything is possible. Personally the topic rott's my brain and only racists call out other racists.
where i live, racism is ingrained in society
I take it one step further. I think the upper and lower class unite to screw the middle out of everything.
Poor cry for revolution, Elite pushes it through congress, and the middle class is sucked dry.

true as is SJ.

we call it racism but even within our own races we have predjudice.
the caste system in india. the class system in the west.

but the question was;

is the star to blame, why didn't he see what was going on. from what was written, it was a pretty hectic party with people complaining.
in the uk it's often those with money who despise the middle and poor class.

and if you have no cash and your black or even foreign, to them you may as well have come from the planet zarg. you not worth wiping their feet on.

why? does anyone ask what made them that way?
it's extremely easy to be magnanimous and refined when you have the cash but poor or semi poor people. most of the people i know have a better moral code than those with money.
the worst for me is institutionalised apartheid, called castsystem
It is the poor and uneducated who need and want racism.
-I think the "elite" love shouting "racism" at every law/ statement they disagree with.
They "use" people's feelings toward it to get them to dislike a particular political
Party or person. Everything to them is either "Racist, Sexist, or against the poor".
Politicians don't really "care" about the racism itself...they just care about the nations
Feelings toward racism, so they can manipulate the populous. They thrive on defaming people,
As it makes them all the more powerful in the end.

"To the rich, racism, one way or the other, doesn't matter much."
I'm sure it does to the lawyers Tongue.

To the middle class, who is well enough educated to compete on merits, racism is not a significant issue.
- I don't know if I agree with that entirely.
Government wants an "Us Vs. Them" mentality. They WANT us divided into groups. They "want" us to bicker.
We're easier to control that way.

I'm just SO sick of hearing about race. Racism is totally wrong, but it almost seems as if we're entering
A sort of "tribilization" in America.

Without a doubt, racism is rampant in uneducated areas and people, as it's rooted in ignorance. But
It can also be contorted into a horrible weapon, used as a guise for some "crusade" that winds up
Screwing us all in the end, and totally rapes our personal liberty.

That's the attitude people have. The attitude that it's their fault they are poor. Tis their problem. You won't always find "quality education" in Britain. Go to the suburbs of Manchester and see for yourself.

Now I have to disagree here a bit. Some poor people are definitly racist but you got the wrong idea. The rich are as racist. I've known rich people who are afraid of black people passing them on the streets or are afraid of speaking to an immigrant. Who is the ignorant one here?
manchester sure it's all over the god damn world???
i'll hold my own in most debates. i think i'm world wise and fairly intelligent.
i'm well read (better than most) yet because i have no formal (quality education) i'd be looked down upon by many, not that i give a shit etc.

old money even looks down on new money lmao.
and of course poor people are racist everyone is to some extent.
i just feel the well to do's have turned it into a fine art.

you try marrying into wealthBeg

the upper class is a breeding ground for racism.
in the lower classes we have the white morons who act black and the black morons who act whitey. even rich blacks are prejudiced against their own race if they're not wealthy too.
We need to make a distinction between institutionalized education that you get from schools, and values education. It's true that poverty and a difficult life can breed racism (its an 'us against them' type of resentment, rational or not) but racism can be found in all corners of society. Some rich people can be extremely prejudiced, even with their supposedly superior education. They just master the art of political correctness, to hide it better.

Yeah it's kind of hard to talk about race, but it'd be naive to think it's a non-issue already. For instance, I think blacks in America still face some kind of racial-type glass ceiling: how many blacks can be seen in 'Madison Avenue' type jobs (Advertising, Stock trading) compared to whites? The crucial thing is to not be incendiary about it. The point of discussing raise is not to go around pointing fingers and spouting blame, but to try and confront it so we can tear down all the misconceptions and barriers once and for all.
i doubt the barriers will ever truly come down addy, would be good if they did but some people will always need an excuse to put others less or more fortunate than themselves down. jmo

True. It's a basic human thing to put others down. Don't tell me you've never done it. Be it racism or force or even ganging up on someone (mentally too.). So were all guilty. And everyone eats up what their parents and the community say.

If the common opinion is that Chinese people are stupid then you are alot more likely to believe that Chinese are stupid Undecided. It's the way we work Sad

I do not believe it is the way we work as far as being part of our genetic make up. I do believe that it is the way we have been trained to work over centuries of re-enforced propaganda down loaded into the old brain for use against us. Once the brain learns how to do something it is very hard if not impossible to change those connecting pathways of information. The most powerful computer known to man still can not be reformatted and has no working anti-virus.
i am not racist but i believe every house should have oneHysterical
